継良 / keeliong • 萧 is a visual artist who uses photography and video to tell stories, often focusing on the quiet mundanity of everyday objects and how fragile beauty emerges through imperfection and short-lived moments. Inspired by experimental film of the 1960s, he also manipulates photographs and negatives to create distinct visual experiences. His work has appeared in group and solo exhibitions both locally and internationally, including four solo shows—-two in the USA and two in Singapore. His last solo exhibition, Objects / 废弃物件 (II), was held at Gajah Gallery in May 2022.
With a background in Motion Pictures and Fine Arts, Kee-Liong brings a unique perspective to his art and to his role as a seasoned trainer in digital media. Over the decades, he has conducted seminars and workshops for organizations such as the Ministry of Education, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Nanyang Polytechnic, and Temasek Polytechnic, as well as media companies including Mediacorp Studios, Singapore Press Holdings, Walt Disney (Singapore), CNBC Asia, and CNN (Hong Kong). His training covers motion graphics, digital media, and non-linear editing. He also teaches photography through the Ngee Ann CET Academy and designs customized corporate programs for organizations like POLWEL and the Singapore Civil Defence Force, demonstrating his versatility and commitment to diverse client needs.
Currently, Kee-Liong is a senior lecturer at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, where he teaches photography, motion graphics, and video production. He finds it deeply rewarding to share his knowledge and passion with the next generation of artists. As a certified WSQ ACLP trainer and recipient of the Commendation Medal [Pingat Kepujian] in the Singapore National Day Awards 2022, Kee-Liong remains committed to providing high-quality learning experiences.gh photography and video.
